The Temporary Payroll Tax Cut Continuation Act of 2011 temporarily extends the two percentage point payroll tax cut for employees, continuing the reduction of their Social Security tax withholding rate from 6.2 percent to 4.2 percent of wages paid through Feb. 29, 2012.

New York State passed the Marriage Equality Act with effective date of July 24, 2011. Same sex married couples will be required to file their NYS return with joint or married filing separate filing status. Company Background

The owner, Richard D Recor, has been self employed in the Tax Preparation field since 1980. He is currently an Enrolled Agent (EA), authorized by the Internal Revenue Service to represent taxpayers. The EA credential was obtained by passing a 2 day exam and it is required that continuing education be taken each year in the taxation field in order to maintain the right to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.

Mr. Recor also holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting and a MBA in Management. In order to stay current with Tax and other Accounting developments, he normally obtains 40 hours of Continuing Professional Education each year.

In addition, the owner, is a member of National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP). This organization is a good resource for tax research, training, as well as keeping members up to date on Tax Law changes.
